Words of Wisdom from Former Chief Justice of India – Galgotia University

The students of Galgotia University were fortunate enough to hear the words of wisdom from none other than the former Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra. Galgotias University is a brainchild of a family of three – Suneel Galgotia, Padmini Galgotia and their son Dhruv Galgotia. Dhruv, who is all of 32, is the CEO of Galgotia College and is successfully running it. In a short span of 8 years, they have managed to establish Galgotia’s as a renowned name in the education sector. Thus, it is no surprise to see the eminent personalities like Dipak Misra coming here and sharing their views with the students of Galgotias University.

The eminent lawyer shared his life lessons with the students. He said that liberty is an invaluable asset of a free person. He further explained that when people have a say and government fear people, then there is liberty in the society or a nation and no one can bargain for it. If the dignity of a person is denied or dented, the individuality suffers.

He cited the example of Abraham Lincoln to explain it further. He said that to abolish slavery and fight for the liberty of his people, Lincoln had to struggle a lot. But, he stood like a rock and faced all hardships to emerge victorious in the end. Thus, it’s a lesson for all to never compromise with your values and liberty at any cost. Once it is gone, it takes a lot of effort and struggles to get it back. It is not an easy journey and hence one must be really cautious of the path that one takes in his or her life.

He even cited the case of Indra: the God of Rain. He said that even God is afraid of a person who emerges as a strong competitor and does whatever it takes to take him out of his way.
