The infrastructure of Galgotias University is among the best for class coaching, including its libraries, labs, classrooms as well as its moot courts for the law. They are also conscientious towards their social responsibility. Continuing on the path of excellence, the university launched a ‘Legal Aid Cell’ in the year 2014. This facility was inaugurated on April 26th by Justice Deepak Misra, who was then appointed at the Supreme Court.
The aim of this cell is to spread awareness of legal aspects amongst the illiterate, poor and needy. It allows them to access legal opinion and justice in spite of the lack of affordability. Additionally, they set up a round-the-clock helpline to provide assistance and advice on legal matters.
This Legal Aid Cell is also beneficial for the students of Galgotia University. The Committee members for the cell are selected from amongst the students following a transparent procedure post formal nomination. The selected members get a chance to pursue various activities, including court appearances depending on a case to case basis, which would help them further in their career.
On this occasion, Justice Deepak Misra appreciated the steps taken by the management, including the founder Suneel Galgotia and CEO Dhruv Galgotia. He also delivered his first lecture of a series on the topic “Human Rights in Constitutional Context”. During the talk, he wished to convey to the audience the importance of Article 21 of the constitution with respect to Human Rights.
The Galgotia University was established less than 10 years ago by Chancellor Suneel Galgotia keeping the students as the first priority. The management is supported by other family members, including Padmini Galgotia as the Pro-Chancellor and Dhruv Galgotia as the CEO. Together, they have guided their staff and students to take the university to greater heights.
